Kapan, nestled in the mountainous region of Syunik, is the most populous town of all of Southern Armenia. The population of Kapan largely depends on the mining industry for income. With the expectation that the youth of Kapan will enter the workforce as a part of the mining industry, they often do not seek other opportunities that will help them acquire new skills, plan for their futures, or otherwise contribute to Kapan's development.
Our Mission
Miaseen is dedicated to creating a transformative Community Hub in the heart of Kapan, designed to empower local youth and unlock their full potential. This hub will serve as a center for professional growth, education, and community engagement, providing individuals aged 17-35 with the tools and resources needed to thrive. By connecting them with industry experts, the Miaseen Hub will offer workshops, seminars, events, and certification programs that will equip young people with valuable, marketable skills for the modern workforce.
Beyond individual empowerment, the Hub will contribute to Kapan’s long-term development by fostering innovation and economic resilience. It will also serve as a comprehensive resource center, offering essential information on tourism, education, scholarships, and internships. Additionally, the Hub will support local businesses by helping them expand their reach, promote their services, and cultivate a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Rooted in the principle of "Miaseen" (Together), the Hub will strengthen community connections and lay the foundation for a brighter, more sustainable future for Kapan and beyond.
The lack of diverse opportunities for Kapan's youth prevents them from reaching their full potential and ultimately keeps the community from flourishing as it could. In an effort to encourage the youth to explore new possibilities, engage in continuous learning, and actively participate in shaping a brighter future for themselves and their town, Miaseen presents Miaseen Hub: Kapan.
