Kapan, nestled in the mountainous region of Syunik, is the most populous town of all of Southern Armenia. The population of Kapan largely depends on the mining industry for income. With the expectation that the youth of Kapan will enter the workforce as a part of the mining industry, they often do not seek other opportunities that will help them acquire new skills, plan for their futures, or otherwise contribute to Kapan's development.

The lack of diverse opportunities for Kapan's youth prevents them from reaching their full potential and ultimately keeps the community from flourishing as it could. In an effort to encourage the youth to explore new possibilities, engage in continuous learning, and actively participate in shaping a brighter future for themselves and their town, Miaseen presents Miaseen Hub: Kapan. 

Our Mission

We propose building a new Community Hub in the heart of Kapan to empower the youth to thrive and reach their full potential. The Miaseen Hub will serve as a platform for professional development, educational programming, and community networking. Targeting individuals aged 17-35, the Hub will support career growth and lifelong learning by bringing together experts from various fields to host workshops, events, seminars, and certificate programs in order to help the youth develop marketable skills for the workforce.

The ultimate goal of the Hub is to support Kapan’s development by investing in its most valuable asset: its youth. Additionally, the Hub will become a central resource for information related to Kapan and the Syunik region, including tourism, education, scholarships, internships, and more. It will also support local businesses by helping them market and sell their products and services, fostering entrepreneurship in the city.

The Hub will operate by the principle of "Miaseen" (together), emphasizing partnerships and collaboration. By building strong community ties, the Hub will become an integrated and essential part of Kapan’s future.
